the perfect bouquet

Buy a bouquet of flowers.
Must pick the right bunch:
multi-colored and variety-ed.
15 dollars or a fourth of your hourly pay.
Watch out for the manager,
he'll charge extra for accessories.
Now get home, put that thing in a vase.

Grab your nicest crystal why don’t ya,
place it in the heart of your home.
Let the petals be the star for a few days.
Keep an eye as things change.
The water will start to muddy, stems will wilt.
Time for some spring cleansing.
Snip the ends to an angle,
refresh the water and feed with flower food.
‍
Take out your favorite rose.
Find a smaller vase or makeshift one.
Water bottles, soda cans and mini bottles work great.
Now a new flower grows,
making a home, warming another part of your house.
Once all your petals fall to the floor,
go back to the same store and buy some more.
